And what an adventure I am having! Big Red Kitchen continues to grow and amaze me as time passes. It was only last October when a tiny little thought popped into my head nudging me to take BRK into the market, the Lake Anne Farmer's Market that is. So right here in Reston, Virginia at the beautiful and historic Lake Anne, I will be hosting my Cooking Salons. A Salon is...a regular gathering of distinguished guests™ under the roof of an inspiring hostess, held partly to amuse one another, but mostly to please all participants in the art of hospitality and cookery. I will demonstrate 4-5 recipes and chat all things hospitality and cookery during this unique al fresco experience. This Saturday we are hosting a huge open house at the market, so if you are local, come on by!

Big Red Kitchen hits TV! In a whirlwind of phone calls, interviews, emails, lights, camera, and action- lots of it, I made a TV commercial with Finish Quantum. I took the Finish Challenge and shared my testimonial on the commercial. Finish Quantum Rocks! No more gunk on my dishes. What a privilege to not only be in a commercial, but to be behind the scenes and watch how the entire thing unfolds. With about 25 people in BRK and all over the house for that matter, I had no idea the enormity of making a 30 second clip. Over 5 hours of taping into 30 seconds! We celebrated Royal Wedding week last week in the Big Red. These little bites are not only good enough for the Royals, but for any upcoming bridal and baby showers, Mother's Day, and all things Spring.

So elegant, so easy you will have to fake that you worked hard
Nutella Bites Mix a big spoonful of Mascarpone with a big spoonful of Nutella. Fill all 15 Fillo Cups using a small spoon with the Nutella mixture and top with a bit of whipped cream. Sprinkle with grated chocolate and decorate with mint leaves. Serves 6-7.
